Para sa huling 5 linggo natututuhan namin ang tungkol sa geometry na ginagamit namin ang isang plano sa pag-aaral at isang rubrik sa pag-aaral na pinipili naming gawin 8 mga plano sa pag-aaral na nakuha ko ay nababagot nang kalahating sa panahon ng paksa kaya ako ay nakaupo lamang at wala.

Reflection

Hindi ako nakatuon sa anumang trabaho kamakailan lamang at hindi ako naka-post ng kahit ano sa aking matematika wok ngunit mas mahusay na ako ay magsusubok at mag-post sa susunod na paksa ngunit ako, Caleb, Rosa, at Caleb ay sinubukang mag-focus sa trabaho ngunit sa panahon ng oras na kami ay nagkaroon ng maraming mga biro at pagtawa hindi namin ay may anumang mga argumento

TWTWB Chapter 20

Questions:

1. Why is Ellie nervous about being paired with Fi?
Because Fi wasn't used to doing outdoors practical things.

2. What is true courage according to Ellie?
"...true courage is when you're really scared but you still do it." 

3. Were her concerns about Fi realised?
Yes.

4. What is a clue Fi's relationship with Homer is becoming serious?
She says 'I love you' to him in the walkie talkie.

5. What problems do Fi and Ellie encounter on their mission to bring the tanker to the appropriate place under the bridge? How do they deal with these problems?
A group of soldiers patrolling the streets come by the truck and Fi and Ellie are scared they will get caught but the soldiers don't notice the truck. Ellie tries to silently roll down a hill but the brakes don't work and the steering wheel locks itself and she nearly crashes into a fence. She turns the ignition back on and swerves away from the fence.

1. What makes Ellie think the soldiers walking past them are professionals?

They are more efficient and they move as one as if they'd been trained.

2. What do the soldiers fire at in the bushes?

A rabbit.

3. What are some clues that the group are starting to think "more like soldiers"?

They remain calm and back away when they see the soldiers and they are being smart.

4.  What does Homer suggest they do when the group goes up to the Heron?

Blow up the bridge

5. What are his strategies to put his plan into action?

Use the cattle to distract the soldiers and they'll use the motorbikes to get away and use the petrol tanker to blow it up.

Yes, they might get caught or there might not be any good motorbikes or tankers.

1. What does Ellie find primarily attractive about Lee?

1. Why does Ellie feel uncomfortable with Chris bringing cigarettes and alcohol into Hell? They are underage to drink and smoke and also they are unnecessary
2. What is meant by a “clean war”? Why are the invaders so intent on having a ‘clean war’? They are being nice and not killing for killing sake's
3. What happened to the soldiers involved in the lawnmower incident, according to Robyn? How does this make Ellie feel? 2 soldiers died. It makes Ellie feel guilty and sad
4. Why do you think prisoners are sent to clean up the houses around town? So it looks like there was no war and everything was the same as when the left

“Paradise of Hell” is an oxymoron. What does it mean.---It is the opposite of hell while being in hell


Kevin’s hatred of the invaders is quite extreme. Why do you think he is so angry? because people are taking over his country that he loves so much and they are ruining it.

Despite the fact that the teenagers are in the midst of a war zone, evading enemy soldiers and planning guerrilla operations, they still find time to harbor romances. Do you think this is realistic?

Chapter 15

1. . What do Ellie and Lee find in the Hermit's hut that the others don't know about?
   A metal box full of papers, letters and a medal. There is a magistrates report recommending that the Hermit, Bertram Hubert Sexton Christie, be charged with 'Willful and felonious murder' of his wife and child.
2. According to the coroner's report what are the two possible ways the Hermit's family died?

   Being shot then burnt in a fire or being burnt in a bush-fire then being shot.
3. 3. Which do you believe? Why?

   I believe that they were badly burnt then he shot them to put them out of their misery.

Chapter 16

     1. What is the Hermit's mother in law's attitude toward him as seen in her letter?

    She believes that he didn't do it. "... I believe you (the Hermit) have been a man unjustly accused..." 

     2. What does this suggest about the way in which the Hermit's family actually died?

     He didn't kill them in malice.

     3. What makes Ellie change her mind about Lee on the way back from the Hermit's hut?

    "I don't want to end up like a coroner's report." She doesn't want to end emotionless.

During this time Rosa has been making the poster and getting the map printed out for the poster....Alicia did the drawing and traced the words with sharpie.... While Caleb and I were making the blog posts and researching about how to read maps from this we have learnt the directions of the maps

1. Ellie is confused because she has a crush on homer and Lee

science blow carts

In science we have been learning about forces and motions today we were building a blow cart this is what our cart looks like.

We named it Fire phoenix 283 the original 

Our first thing we did was make a plan we did 3 different plans but decided on one at it was make something like a pirate ship so we started to build it but then we decided to change it and make it sort of like a kite sail. 

We thought of using paper but it was too flimsy so we used cardboard and it works better.

All we have to do is test it and make some more changes to the sail then we are done.

Ellie and homer are the leaders she makes most of the decisions in the group and make sure everyone is OK and together, Robyn is the voice of reasoning and the medic of the group, Kevin is an emotional and passionate person, Lee dead weight atm, Corrie is the mother of the group, and Fi the quiet one, Chris is a writer he is smart and crazy and weird in a good way.
2. According to what the teenagers hear on Corries radio, why would America be best not to get involved in Australia’s struggle.... It would be to bloody and it cost to much like loosing their lives

4. A reader can infer many things from the snippet of news heard over Corrie’s radio. Which country or countries are likely to have invaded Australia? Poorer countries want to take over and start a new life

From bright, humid days to smoke filled skies.

1. Yes because teenagers can sleep for a very long time if they are stressed or worried their stress might be really bad and can make them sleep longer. No, she feels wiser stricter and a bit ruder

2. a. she misses her dad cooking on the bbq and she might miss her whole town     b. because it was a dream and might not of heard her because of the noise
    c. ellie might miss her childhood when the town was happy and they were super close

1. Hide and not get caught by the soldiers. Homer convinced corrie not to take the Toyota because the soldiers might have seen it from the air and if they saw it missing they could suspect something and track them down.

2. If they get to a corner Ellie would get off the bike and look around to see if it was safe to keep going

3. Maybe he wanted to keep himself safe or has family members that are hurt or something and wanted to get some stuff and run back home to the family. I think he was a bit rude for not helping out a patient that was in need of being taken care of. 

4. He has changed from the class clown to a leader and has stopped his joking around and helps with the group 

5. Experienced and Inexperienced - The experienced soldiers treated the inhabitant with a bit more respect than the Inexperienced soldiers. The Inexperienced soldiers treated them unkind and didn't show them any respect

6. Robyn had strength to carry Lee because she had the adrenaline and wanted to help a friend and not be selfish and leave a friend behind

7. They decided to rescue Lee by carrying him in a bulldozer. I think this will work because while he is in the shovel they can carry him without worry and get through places where they might get caught on foot.

8. Some people try to act like heroes then they become cocky sometimes they get caught and taken into treason or some others might be taken to the extreme by being shot on the spot. 

Power of one seel paragraphs

In the power of one close up was used effectively. For example the director john avildsen used a close up to show the anger in jappie bortha when he got in trouble by the owner of the school. The director did this to show how furious Jaapie botha was with P.K. This technique created an impact by showing the audiences that Jaapie had an intention to kill P;K and all english. This Technique can be shown in the seen where Jaapie gets hit by the owner of the school for his stupid acts


In the power of one long shot was used effectively. For example when P.K was in the graveyard saying goodbye to his chicken that jaapie botha killed with a stone . The director used this to show where P.K was and how sad he was by the way he posture is. This technique created an impacted on the audience to show that jaapie botha will do anything to make P.K suffer.This Technique can be shown in the seen where P.K is in the graveyard where his mum and chicken got buried.



In the power of one low angle shot was used effectively. We see this when P.K was trying to do a task his grandfather's friend asked him to do it was a task to mad sad boys happy. The director used this to show how P.K tried his best to be happy again. This technique created an impacted on the audience to show that P.K wanted to be happy again by trying new stuff and listening to his grandfather’s friend. This Technique can be shown in the seen where P.K was standing on a little fence made out of blocks while saying weird stuff.

Who is my design for? My design is for my dad because his tool box he has now is about to break and the lid doesn't close properly that is why I am making the box for my dad

In English, we have been learning how to write SEXXY paragraphs we used the movie the power of one to write about this is the paragraph we wrote

Statement: The director uses long shot to show that the guard knows Geel Piet is up to something

Example: The long shot shows both sergeant Bormans legs in the foreground and Geel Piet in the background we also see borman’s baton in his hand

Explanation (directors purpose): The director intended to show sergeant Borman’s violent intentions towards Geel Piet

Explanation(of effect on audience):  This made the audience suspect that sergeant Borman was going to hurt Geel Piet Which made the viewer feel tense

Link: This aspect can link back to one of the main ideas in the film which is the unfair treatment of Black Africans in south Africa

Definition - anthropometry, especially as it relates to the design of furniture and machinery.

Definition - the study of people's efficiency in their working environment.

Wood design for my dad

I am going to design and manufacture a Toolbox for my dad and I'm making this because my dads old toolbox 

is slowly breaking apart soI’mm going to make him a new one the purpose will hold all his tools like screwdrivers

screws hammers and stuff like that think dad will put it in the laundry and then he won’t have to go out to the

shed and bring in a broken box  

The measurement I think I would want to use for making this box is a 14″ 

The specifications for this is going to have is 

• no loose parts
• both compartments and lid fits perfectly
• it has enough room to fit tools like hammer, nails, drills, screws etc.
• it doesn't take up to much room  
• easy to carry
• doesn't fall apart
• The handle is on tight and doesn't fall off 

My build a Boat

Boat Practical and Learning The Gantt Chart

In our class I really enjoyed the learning of use making the boat, but actually in this practical Mr. Rees wanted us to know and be familiarised on Gantt Chart. Gantt chart is used by builders to have a timetable like for construction. Anyway, we started with our 1st class with giving out these papers—boat dimensions and outline planning.

Materials that we used.

This was the first step for our project. Sawed the wood into 320mm

The outcome of our first lesson should be this.

This is the bridge measurement.

In the end, the bridge should look like this.

We call this part the channel. We chiseled it out using chisel and wood hammer.

Then, we glued the bridge to the base.

Lastly, we glued the funnel to our boat.

Here's my boat while I'm waiting for the oil to dry.

Just to give you an idea, our last step on making our boat was to add some oil on it. Mr's tip was to go with the grain if you're adding oil, in order to show it's total beauty.

Lastly, these boats are my classmates finished products.

Earlier, Mr. Rees made us make another copy of our Gantt Chart. On the paper Gantt chart, it was our estimated time and this electronic version is what was the actual time it took me to build the boat.

Mr. Rees made us to do this because he want's us to learn how gantt charts work and how does it apply in the real world.

My really cool math project

In Maths you won't believe I actually did work aha joking me Madd and Conrad were working on Google sites on Google sites we learned about percentages fractions and decimals

Reflection in english

I was walking through the park while the sun was setting and the sun rays shone through the trees. While I was walking took off my shoes and continued walking on the soft green grass. The air smells like the countryside. The birds were singing a song it was beautiful. I saw a bento truck I had a couple of dollars left and I bought a bento box and it was like I never left Korea.
